Step Zero is the most important stage you have to complete before embarking on a new business or project. Before you run across town to find a co-founder for a new startup idea. Before you start buying new video recording equipment for recording your first digital product. Before you open a new Google slide to write a new business plan. Step Zero is the first step you take before you start on anything new.
In my last 10+ years as an entrepreneur in the digital marketing and events space, I have come across so many great ideas shared by trainers, online courses, offline classes, and everywhere else on the internet. I noticed that a stage before “Getting Started” is consistently missing. The stage that helps you put a plan together. The step that points you in the right direction. Imagine investing all your time, energy, and money into a new venture or project, and pushing forward (or as Reid Hoffman calls it, Blitzscaling) in the wrong direction. That would really suck, wouldn’t it?
Step Zero is a personal platform where I write on practical steps that you can take in putting plans together. I share ideas on how research can be done quickly (and mostly free) if you just put some time into it. The ideas that I share here are completely free and implementable by anybody. If I can do it, anybody can. You just have to put some time into it.
Step Zero is summarised into three parts:
- The Idea
- The Plan
- The Research
